Hi! My name is Letizia.

I’m a licensed psychologist based in Ghent and Brussels, Belgium, and a counselor in training with an integrative approach. I offer counseling and psychological support services in Italian and English to adults and young adults.

Throughout life, we often encounter challenging situations. These can often exceed our resources and lead to distress, sadness, inner conflicts, feelings of loneliness or alienation. In my professional role as a psychologist, I can guide you through a journey of self-reflection and personal growth. Together we will learn to identify ineffective patterns of thought and behavior, while developing more adaptive mechanisms to cope with your emotions and navigate everyday struggles. Throughout this process, you will acquire essential tools to better understand your psychological functioning, safeguard your mental well-being and build a greater sense of resilience when moving through adversity.

Every person holds a unique universe within themselves. For this reason, my approach is deeply individualized and grounded in empathetic, nonjudgmental listening. During our journey together, I will focus on your specific needs and strengths while celebrating your uniqueness.

In line with the deontological code of psychologists, I avoid imposing my own system of values and beliefs to my clients and I do not discriminate based on religion, ethnicity, nationality, cultural background, socio-economic status, assigned sex at birth, gender identity or sexual orientation. I am committed to promote an environment of respect, inclusivity and acceptance in my practice. When seeking psychological support, it is our right to find a space where we feel safe—a space where we do not feel judged and are welcome to simply be ourselves.
